Models and References and Cells, oh my! Toto, we're not in V7 anymore. The way that MicroStation manages these 3 distinct tools in V8 is totally new, and can affect how you use these tools. Come to this session to see an overview of how these 3 tools are converging, and discuss what you should use in what situation.

See and discuss the features and functionality of Inroads 8.3 using MicroStation v8. We will also see and discuss XML reporting and other enhancements.

Exploring the possibilities and uses that MicroStation V8's Level Definitions provided. A tour of the new Dialog boxes. Ideas and examples of creating and implementing your new Level Definitions.

For the professional using AutoCAD, this session will show MicroStation V8 in action...learn how to make the transition from AutoCAD to MicroStation. This session will consist of an introduction to the MicroStation environment and its drawing concepts while using AutoCAD jargon. Basic creation of drawings to plotting and printing. Even though we speak different languages, the concepts remain the same.

This session will help you prepare for the switch to MicroStation V8. It will cover all the major upgrade issues and give some practical solutions. Some of the topics that will be discussed are System Requirements, Updating your V8 License, Running Multiple Versions, Existing Data, CAD Standards, New Configurations, Design Software and Training. This session is a must see for Administrators and CAD Managers.

AccuSnap Tool - This tool is new with V8 and will eliminate the tentative snap. See first hand how this tool will save time by eliminating cumbersome snapping.

Geopak Site 2001 has many new tools, which make it easier to do roadways in conjunction with your building sites. Some of the topics that will be covered are Composite Sections, Vertical Profile Tools, Cross Sections, Element Modification Tools, & Element Associations. This will be a good presentation for the beginner and the experienced site user.

Explore the theory behind the powerful 3PC criteria. What are the advantages? How does it work? This session will demonstrate the development of a basic roadway shoulder typical, utilize simple draw commands to create the section, evaluate dgn elements and develop a proposed section complete with labels.

We'll explore how the Pavement Striping component of Geopak's Design and Computation Manager aids in the production of pavement striping plans. Topics will include automated quantities, striping, merge/diverge chevrons, turning arrows and pavement messages just to name a few.

Learn how to place data in tabular format on your profiles and cross sections! A full set of preferences enables the user to determine what data is placed, the grid, leader lines, titles, how to handle overlapping text, and where the tabulation is placed.

This session will be an overview of the basic commands and functions of Geopak criteria. Demonstrations will show how to use criteria to draw examples of travel lanes, shoulders, and embankment slopes in both specific and variable conditions.

This session will discuss the relationship between GEOPAK's Design and Computation Manager and the upcoming Quantity Manager. The combination of these two tools will enable the design staff to provide quantities in a more automated process for preparing construction estimates; including non-graphical quantities.

This session will cover the additional features of these two tools to assist the designer with drawing existing ground lines, profiles or other surface lines utilizing a GEOPAK binary DTM file. With showing how these tools have more file options and are able to "remember" more dialog settings.

The new plan and profile clip sheet tool offers an expanded set of features to enable you to create construction plans in the format you desire. This session will provide an overview of all the new features that will be included in the upcoming Maintenance Release.

This session will cover how KDOT uses typical sections when generating Proposed Cross Sections through Project Manager. This session will also other advantages of using Project Manager.
